Physician- Core Faculty- Family Medicine

Greenville, SC

Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider in South Carolina, seeks a board-certified Family Medicine physician to join our Greenville Family Medicine Residency Program located in beautiful downtown Greenville, SC.

The Greenville Family Medicine Residency, founded in 1971, is a 6-6-6 complement program and has a long tradition of academic excellence. Ideal candidates would be dedicated and enthusiastic educators and leaders who can contribute to our mission of “healing the community by inspiring learners and partnering with patients”.

Responsibilities

• Work in a primary care teaching clinic, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Supervise and mentor family medicine residents and medical students in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Collaborate with faculty and clinic staff to develop and implement policies, workflows, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain an active clinical practice with a broad scope of family medicine (outpatient and inpatient medicine; interest in obstetrics are also encouraged to apply).
• Opportunities to participate in didactic teaching, curriculum development, and scholarly activity.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning within the residency program and clinic.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified in Family Medicine (ABFM or AOBFP).
• Eligible for medical licensure in South Carolina (or current license).
• Experience or interest in clinic leadership, quality improvement, and resident supervision.

Preferred Skills

• Interest or expertise in population health, health systems management, or interprofessional care.
• Willingness to engage in scholarly activity and professional development.
• Obstetrics practice is welcomed but not required.
• Fellowship training in an area relevant to family medicine is welcome bur not required.

Prisma Health-Upstate Department of Family Medicine is currently undergoing expansion and is part of a growing primary care network serving patients of the Upstate of South Carolina.
